CHEONG KELLY ♥

Good food and pretty clothes are my greatest weaknesses.

TGIF!
Saturday, October 12, 2013 @ 12:30 AM ✈

Whole long hectic week and it's finally Friday! Officially took over for one of the many stations in the lab today, super crazy panic mode to prepare the samples alone and all with the instrument putting up all sorts of stunts. T.T I'm still not used to getting back to work after having a 3 month long break. Rants aside, I'm finally back to revive my blog with some of my recent buys - 4 dresses and 2 vests. I'll be splitting them up into 3 posts otherwise it's gonna be so so lengthy.

So....today's post will be the 2 dresses from My Glamour Place (MGP). MGP has really good customer service in my opinion, as I've encountered some problems (I'm a troublesome customer) during carting out and they have been really patient with me lol. Carted out the dress on a Friday (one/two week ago), supposed to transfer the money by Saturday night (within 24 hours) or they'll release my items. On Sunday, I went back to the website wanting to pay only to realise one of the dresses was sold out. Hence I emailed them to check with them if I'm still gonna pay for the 2 dresses. Even though it was long past the 24 hours limit, they actually still reserved the item for me! ^^

Vina Cutout Dress, Size M

This dress was under the new arrivals section in MGP's website when I bought it. I was immediately attracted by the pretty prints and the cutting! The unique shoulder slit cuts are a plus! Size M fits me well with some allowance and I absolutely love cuttings like this, flattering whatever little curves I have. It actually has the same cutting as the Anja Asymmetrical Shift dress from Love and Bravery, so I guess it's counted as a shift dress too? Also, the length of the dress is appropriate for work, with smooth concealed back zip. The only downside for this dress is that it shows my tummy even though it's not bodycon T.T Overall for $30, I feel that this is a good buy, since the material of the dress was good too. I believe if this dress was launched in other blogshops like Love,Bonito etc, the price will definitely be much higher. The last time I checked, the dress is still available online for sizes M and L.

Hewitt Emboss Dress in Yellow, Size M

How to resist when the model looks so good in it! So excited to receive my very first embossed dress but I was quite disappointed when I tried this on though - the measurements were so off! The PTP was stated online as 16", which was the same as the Vina dress above but the PTP for this dress was so big for me, definitely more than 17". Also, the hips measurement was stated to be 17.5",while the Vina dress was 17" so how is it possible that I can wear the Vina dress comfortably yet have difficulties stuffing my hips into this dress. -.- Still contemplating if I should alter it since I can still fit at the hips or let go of this piece. Considered requesting an exchange from MGP but no point since the dress is already sold out for size M online.

That's all for tonight! 晚安! (:
